Angler.digital - Tron Project Pack #2 - FREE

A few days ago, my YouTube site passed 200,000 total views! And about 3/4 of those views are on my Tron videos I decided to give away my last Tron project pack FREE!

Inside the ZIP file you will find 3 Cinema 4D 12 project files:

1. Tron - Disc (A simple model of a Tron Legacy disc that was used in my Tron Redemption animation)
2. Tron - Legacy Logo (Custom Tron logo that I created just after seeing the movie, I've used it in all my Tron videos that feature the Tron logo)
3. Tron - Lightcycle Animation (The entire animation that I created using my custom lightcycle models)

I hope people will enjoy this project pack and that it will hopefully provide some helpful techniques or insights to learn and help you out

  2. Thanks for this, I have the maxon plugin and AE 6, but the screen stays black. I just need the Tron logo for a school project. Do you you know what I am doing wrong here?

    1. You have to edit and render them with Cinema 4D 12+, it won't work with just After Effects. The Maxon plugin is just for reading 3D workspace exported from C4D.

    1. My computer is different from yours, so you will need to modify the render settings to work with your computer.

    2. I did, I googled the settings and I tried all of them. It's just not working for some reason. I know this is cheap, but do you have a render version for me? I have been trying to make it render for almost 12 hours.

I am talking about the logo. I'll show you the end result. Here is the version without your logo. If you like it can I has it?

    3. I'll help you out with any errors but I'm not going to render anything for you. Many hours have already gone into these projects, and I have provided them for free to help people learn.

Please provide the exact error message, and please check your render settings again, specifically under the SAVE section and make sure they are pointing to files and directories that are on your computer. You will get errors like this if you are trying to render to locations that don't exist.

    4. Can't blame me for trying? (; And I understand that it's very hard work. It's a very good design btw!

I will try it again and this time it's going to be the last. Do you have any tuts that I can look into what the best render settings are?

I like the C4d a lot! I wish there was a better integration with AFter Effects though. It's the first time I used it and I must say it is quite powerful!

How did you like my title sequence in the youtube link?

    5. Render settings aren't nearly as important as setting up your scene. The only setting that I make sure to turn on every time is Anti Aliasing at BEST, sometimes 2x2 is necessary depending on your textures. For TRON, things like Ambient Occlusion and Global Illumination aren't really necessary (IMO), but separate passes for NORMAL and ILLUMINATION will ensure maximum control in After Effects.

C4D has great (albiet one-way) integration with After Effects. Under the SAVE section you can export a compositing project file which can have cameras, lights and any 3D model positioning you want converted to After Effects, it's EXTREMELY useful and awesome.

    6. Sweet good tips thanks the only problem is that everytime I save it as a after effects file I get a yellow warning sign on the file and when I open it in AE I get these horizontal coloured stripes but not the actual footage?

Any ideas what this could be?

    7. What is the extension of the file you are opening? You should IMPORT your renders into your AE project file. The project file from C4D should have an AEC extension, this is the 3D data file saved from within the SAVE PROJECT FILE with 3D data in render settings. It also sounds like it just can't find the file you rendered either because you saved the project file before changing the file name of the final render.
